Renee as she was called was born on February 11, 1954, in Randolph County, North Carolina to John I. Smith and Lenora Patterson.
Renee was a graduate of Eastern Randolph High School, Ramseur, NC. Renee was preceded in death by her parents, John I. Smith, and Lenora Patterson Smith.
Renee leaves to cherish her memories her sister, Lucy Jones of Midlothian, VA; her niece, Lucretia Nicole Johns (Khalid); her nephew, Kiyoshi Jones-Thompson; her aunt, Betheal Staley; her special friends, Bonita Terry, Sandra Covington, and David Dalton.
