In loving memory of Bernice (BUNNY) Mayo Isley
BUNNY was born in Hillsborough North Carolina the last of seven children to Ollie Graham and James (Jim) Mayo on the twentieth day of March 1927. She departed this life at home with her great-niece Shaunte and Wilbert by her bedside during the early morning hours of September 15th, 2021.
She was the last limb of Jim and Ollie family tree. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George, son, Billy, brothers: Bivens, James (Bro-Boy), and Harold Mayo, sisters, Margaret Mayo, Mary Caesar Mayo Poteat, and Annie B Mayo Thompson.
Bunny is survived by her granddaughter, Kasha Isley Anderson (Mitchell), daughter-in-law, Janice Isley Franklin (James), great-great grandchildren: Mitchell, Adama and Karter Anderson; and of course, her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
During her final years of her life, Bunny welcomed her niece, Shaunte and Wilbert to live with her. They in return saw to it that she remained active and outgoing, and they attended to her needs. One of the things she liked was going to the Randolph County Senior Citizen Center and loved every aspect of it and the other seniors that she met there.
