The Eternal Promise of God was kept for David Leroy Clark, Jr. when God dispatched his angel early afternoon, February 17th, 2022, to bring David home with him. David welcomed the call and closed his eyes to peacefully receive his reward. God had seen the life-long struggle that David was facing and many more that had come upon him down through years.
David Leroy Clark, Jr was born in Asheboro, NC, August 27, 1963, to the David Leroy Clark, Sr and Francis Carolyn Clark.
He was Educated in Randolph County Schools System where he Graduated. David a Passion for Drawing, Cooking, Fishing, & Working in his yard.
David had lots of difficult challenges in life many which he did not know if he would make it through, having been told many times that he would self-destruct, God said oh no my son I have something for you. David was invited to Bethel AME Church by a friend, David surrendered his life and begin attending the church. David was eager to learn about God, he loved the leadership of our Pastor William V. Alston. It was at Bethel AME church that David met the Queen of his life Reverend Syretha Clark. They were Married (3 Years).
David was preceded in death by his father, David Leroy Clark, Sr.
He leaves cherish memories to: his wife, Syretha Clark of the home; his mother, Francis Carolyn Clark of Randleman; three daughters, Odyssey Keaton of Wilmington, Unity Page (Dwayne) of Wilmington and Loretta Ford of Greensboro; two sons, Robert Smallwood of Iowa, and Elder Nigel Smallwood (Deseree) of Greensboro; one brother, Michael Cheek of Asheboro; three sisters, Cathy Clark of Randleman, Marcella Clark of Randleman and Donna Wilhite (Kenny) of Randleman; a host of grandchildren.
