My Mother, Mrs. Emma Jean Headen Craven was born, February 10, 1942, to the late Mr. Talbert Headen Sr and Mrs. Lula Alston Headen. God called my mom to the end of her journey, her destination, November 24, 2022, at 7:20 pm at her home in Siler City, North Carolina.
My mother, Emma Craven attended Chatham High School in Siler City were, she graduated. Some, years later my mom was married to the late Murray Kannon Craven. She was a lifelong member of Evans Chapel AME Zion Church, Siler City, North Carolina. My mom was a people person and would do anything to help if help were needed. She was employed at Carolina Chicken Plant for 2 years and was employed at Kellwood 40 years during the time she was employed with Kellwood it changed names many times.
Mom was best known for helping, Mr., and Mrs. LeRoy Gowins. A few, of her past times were shopping with her nieces and sister on Saturday, visiting with her other sister on Sunday evenings, talking on the phone, eating, she had a healthy appetite.
My mom was proud of her sister and brothers that have gone before her, Mrs. Katie Headen Williams, Mrs. Talbert Headen Jr, Mrs. Glady Headen Brooks, Mr. Jerry Headen and Mrs. Josephine Headen Glover.
Emma leaves behind to cherish her loving memories her daughter, Ms. Cindy Craven of Siler City; her sister Mrs. Hazel M. Alston (Alvis S Alston deceased) of Pittsboro, NC, her brothers and their wives, Mr. and Mrs. LT Headen of Siler City and Mr. and Mrs. Grady Headen of Siler City, also a loving host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
