James Siler (JD) was born April 10, 1943, to Jesse and Catherine Siler, who preceded him in death
JD grew up in Asheboro, North Carolina and went to school in Asheboro, NC. He went to church at Soul Saving Station and accepted the Lord as his personal Savior in 1986. In 2006 he joined Covenant Christian Church.
JD worked at P& P Chair Company, where the Kennedy Rocker was made, John Plant in Ramseur, Wells Hosiery in Asheboro as a fixer and Midstate Plastic. He has a store in the Randolph Mall called J and J Photo. He was the owner of Soul Food Country Kitchen. JD loved to cook. He also loved Golf and Fishing.
James was preceded in death by a son Rodney Siler and a brother, Haywatha.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Mary Siler; his children: Brian Siler and wife Terry; Jamie Laughlin and friend Christy and Mark Laughlin and wife, Karen; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; four sisters, Bobby Jean, Helen, Kathy, and Annette; brothers, Jonathan; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
