Janice Elaine Clay was a cherished mother and the beloved daughter of the late O’Dale Marlow Clay and the late Betty Ann Pittman Clay. She was born December 03, 1960, in Monroe, NC. On October 29, 2021 God saw Janice was getting tired; so he put his arms around Janice and whispered, “Come with me.”
Janice was a student at East Mecklenburg High school in Charlotte, NC. Janice provided pure love and passion for kids at Lady Bug Home Child Care. We all know she took watching her babies seriously. To Know Janice was to love her. She never met a stranger and had a gift for making everyone feel like part of the family. Her heart was huge and she gave from it generously, no matter who you were. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren meant everything to her. She was one of their biggest cheerleaders. She loved hard, but did not mind telling you how she felt! She was the best at giving advice and encouragement. She loved the lord and most importantly, knew him as her Lord and Savior. She was a member of the Abiding Apostolic Christian Church under the leadership of Pastor Jeremiah Graves. She served in many capacities (missionary, hospitality, pastor’s aide) and was a blessing and valuable asset to the ministry. She loved the Lord Jesus and her church family. She leaves this testimony that she consistently pressed toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus! She fought a good fight and kept the faith. Her laughter was infectious and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her!
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Betty Jean Green Miller and her two brothers, Hiawatha Dale Pittman and Perry Lee Clay.
