On Mother’s Day, May the 8th, 2022 at 4:19 pm, Lawrence Eric Hickman received his wings. Lawrence Eric Hickman was born December 15, 1963 to Granville Hickman Sr. and Geraldine McCain Hickman both who preceded him in death.
Lawrence attended school in the Guilford County School System. He attended Brown Summit Elementary School and Dudley Senior High School. He was raised in the Locust Grove Baptist Church in Brown Summit, North Carolina. He had worked at Cone Mills (White Oak) for 20-25 years and He also was an employee at Supreme Oil Pit and Curtis Meat Packing Company as a meat packer of Greensboro to which he retired due to failing health. His favorite hobbies was building Bird Houses and putting together model cars in his spare time.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Cassandra Brooks; two sisters, Sandra Avery Hickman, Janice Hickman Blackwell and two brothers Jeffrey Hickman and Granville Hickman Jr.
His is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Sarah Brooks Hickman of the home; one daughter, Qunnsia Hickman of the home; one son, Eric (Dominique) Hickman Jr.; two special grandchildren: Eric Hickman III and Kaya Hickman; He also leaves to cherish memories to one sister, Teresa Ann Hickman (Ronnie) of Greensboro; three brothers, Gerald McCain, Howard Hickman, and Anthony (Teresa) Hickman all of Greensboro; two special granddaughters, Casandra and Karnisha Onwugbenu; three special nieces, Sonja Blackwell, Lisa Wharton, and Tynessia Carmack of Greensboro; five special nephews, Donte' Hickman, Charles Blackwell Jr., Terwayne Carmack, Vermont Carmack, and Rayshunn Hickman all of Greensboro; one special fishing partner Ronnie Gause.
