Lorine Wilhite Motley

Lorine Wilhite Graves Motley was born on April 15, 1934, in Randolph County, North Carolina to Henry Wilhite and Sarah Jane Matthews Wilhite both of whom preceded her in death. She departed this earthly life on Monday, July 4, 2022.

Lorine worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Moses Cone Hospital for years before her retirement.

Lorine ministered music and sang in the church choir at St John Baptist Church, Climax for years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Motley, her son, William “Smokey” Graves, brothers, EW Wilhite, Lewis “Buddy” Wilhite, and Henry “T-Model” Ford.

Lorine leaves to cherish her memories: one brother, George Wilhite of     Climax, NC; one sister, Janet Wilhite of Greensboro, NC; a special niece, Diedra Wilhite of Greensboro, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
