Jesse Glenn Cheek was born August 24, 1963, to Winfred Cheek and Teresa Goldston Cheek. He passed from this earthly life into the arms Jesus on Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2023, after a brief illness.
Jesse graduated from Eastern Randolph High School. After graduation He joined the United States Navy. He had worked for Energize Battery Company in Asheboro for many years. He also worked for Kimes Funeral Service in Liberty for over 15 years. Jesse was a member and Minister of Mt. Nebo Holiness Church, Ramseur, NC, and he loved his church family. Jesse was an avid Duke and Cowboys fan; no one could convince him otherwise. He loved people and he never met a stranger; He had a contagious smile that would light up a room.
Jesse loved family and his many friends, one could often hear him talking about his brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and his friends; but most of all He loved Jesus.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Adolphus Cheek, Arthur Cheek, and Marvin Goldston.
Jesse leaves special memories to his siblings: five sisters: Linda Cheek Patterson, Thressa Jordan both of Asheboro, Australia (Robert) Clay, Delores Marks both of Durham and Bessie (Danny)Eubanks of Hillsboro; five brothers: Min. Elworth Cheek(Mary) of Ramseur, Michael Cheek, Timothy Cheek both of Asheboro, Carlton Cheek of Greenville, and his twin brother, Jerry (Karen)Cheek of Raleigh; to his host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
