Obituary
Rosa Lee Patterson was born July 12, 1935, and departed this earthly life on April 28, 2023.
Rosa was a member of St. Stephen AME Church, Liberty, North Carolina where she served on the Usher and Steward Boards. She also served on the Hospitality Committee.
Rosa enjoyed baking cakes for family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Rosa Patterson and a son, Dwight Patterson.
Rosa leaves to cherish her memory two sons, James Patterson and wife Patricia of Liberty, NC; and Joel Patterson of Siler City, NC; grandchildren: Jason Patterson, Alexia Patterson, Dejuana Bigelow, Janelle Clark, Shay Caviness and Rose Patterson; five great-grandchildren; a special friend, Louise White; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives.
Funeral service will be 1:00 pm on Thursday at St. Stephens AME Church, 705 S. Kirkman St., Liberty, NC. Burial will follow in the St Stephens Memorial Gardens, Liberty, NC.
The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 12:30 pm until 1:00 pm.
A walk-through public viewing will be Wednesday from 1:00 pm until 5:30 pm at Kimes Funeral Service, 102 S. Kirkman St., Liberty, NC.
