Sallie "Ann" (Suber) Knight

Sallie Ann Suber Knight was born on August 4, 1950 and departed this life to go home to be with the Lord on January 26, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Willie Hope Suber and Annie Louise Chestnut Suber. She was the fourth daughter and the seventh of nine children. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Tommie Suber, Clyde Eugene Suber and one sister, Nancy Louise Suber.

Ann loved the Lord. She was a loving, doting wife, mother, sister and friend with an affectionate laugh, beautiful smile, and a big heart.

Ann was educated in the Guilford County Schools System and furthered her education at Rutledge College. She was employed by several companies during her career and retired in 2004 from Procter and Gamble after working 15 years as a Quality Control Technician.

Ann joined St. John Baptist Church at an early age. She was a member and Director of the A.B. Bass Fellowship Choir, Chairman of the Deaconess Board, President of the Missionary Circle, Church Clerk, member of Ward #3 and a Vacation Bible School Teacher.

She met and married William Henry Knight in Holy Matrimony on June 20, 1970. They were married 51½ years. To this union four children were born: Shanda, Rodney, Roderick, and Jeffrey.

Ann leaves to cherish her loving memories: loving husband, William Knight of the home; one daughter, Shanda Knight Pratt (Trevor) High Point, NC; three sons, Rodney Knight (Erica), Roderick Knight (Missy), Jeffrey Knight (Waynetta) all from Greensboro, NC; two brothers, David Suber, Pleasant Garden and Robert Suber (Thelma) Greensboro, NC; three sisters, Annie Bell Taylor (Charles) Pleasant Garden, NC, Barbara Suber Williams (Thurl) Greensboro, NC and Melinda Suber Wallington (Larry) Wilmington, NC; Godson, Kevin Williams(Tenisha) Durham, NC; One play sister Edit Cox (Anthony) Sanford, NC; a very special friend, Cherie Morehead, Greensboro, NC; very special friend (K&W Cafeteria) Janie May, Greensboro, NC; ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
